In a small deep bowl, beat the eggs, milk, cream, orange zest, vanilla and salt.
On a plate, spread the corn meal.
Soak, turn and saturate bread slices in the egg preparation. Then coat both sides with the corn meal.
In a large non-stick skillet, melt a little butter over medium heat. Add two slices of bread at a time and cook each side for 2 minutes or until the bread is lightly browned. Serve immediately along with your favourite garnish.
