In a large saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the ginger, cumin and curry. Simmer for 1 minute. Add the onion, garlic, cabbage, salt and pepper. Cook for about 20 minutes,stirring once in a while. Add the apricots and apples. Cook for 8 minutes, or until the desired doneness.
