Preheat the barbecue to medium heat.
Place the slices of ham on a work surface and lay a slice of cheddar on each.
Brush with mustard, and place a frankfurter on each ham-cheddar combo.
Roll and tie each frankfurter with string, or use toothpicks to keep the layers in place.
Place the frankfurters on the grill and cook for 3 minutes, or until the frankfurters are well done.
In the meantime, toast the hot dog rolls on the grill.
