In season starting at the beginning of April, snow crab is the most beloved species of crab in Quebec. Renowned for its tender meat, make snow crab the star of your meal in a bright salad or crab cakes!

Snow crab can be purchased cooked, fresh, or frozen. Ask your fishmonger to prepare it and pick it up in store.

Enjoy it cold or heat it up!

In boiling water

  1. Add the crab legs in a pot of salted boiling water
  2. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes

In the oven

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C (350°F)
  2. Wrap the legs in aluminum foil
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes

Steamed

  1. Add the legs in a colander over a pot of salted boiling water
  2. Steam for 8 to 10 minutes
