Thread cubes of ham, apple and pineapple onto brochettes. Set aside. In a glass bowl, mix all marinade ingredients. Add the brochettes, cover and marinate in the refrigerator about 15 minutes. Preheat barbecue at medium high. Drain brochettes and cook all 4 sides, each for 3 to 4 minutes, on an oiled barbecue grill, brushing only with marinade while cooking.

    (450 g)
    ham toupie style, cut in 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick cubes
  • 2
    apples, unpeeled and cut in sections
  • 12
    fresh pineapple cubes

  • marinade:
  • Maple syrup

  • 2 tsp.
    (10 mL)
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)
    ketchup
  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)
    apple juice
  • 1
    pinch of cinnamon
  • 1
    pinch of clove

Preparation

Thread cubes of ham, apple and pineapple onto brochettes. Set aside. In a glass bowl, mix all marinade ingredients.

Add the brochettes, cover and marinate in the refrigerator about 15 minutes.
