Preparation

In a small bowl whisk cornstarch and soya sauce together

Add remaining ingredients for sauce and whisk vigorously until combined. Set aside.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.

Cook chicken stirring frequently until starts to brown, about 5 minutes.

Add onion, carrot, garlic and ginger. Cook for another 2 – 3 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in sauce and water. Stir to combine.

Add noodles to skillet and toss well. Heat through for another 2 -3 minutes

Transfer chow mein to a large serving platter. Garnish with shallots or green onion.

Tip:
