Heat up half of the oil in a saucepan.
Add the onion and mustard grains and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until the onion begins to brown.
Add the curry powder, pepper and nutmeg and cook for 1 minute.
Add the ketchup and let simmer gently for 3 to 5 mins, until the sauce thickens and develops all its flavour.
The sauce may be prepared several days in advance, but must be reheated before being served.
