These homemade croutons are easy to make and as good as store-bought ones. In addition to adding a delightful crunch to your dishes, they can be made with stale bread which helps cut down on food waste!
Preheat the oven to 350 °F with the rack in the middle position. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and spread the croutons out on the baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the croutons have become slightly golden brown and dry. Toss halfway through baking time.
Let cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Serve in a salad or soup.
