Peel pears, cut in half and core. In a pan, put water, sugar, lemon half and vanilla, bring to a boil.Poach in boiling syrup 5 minutes.Cool on paper towels.Whip cream to peaks.Fold in icing sugar.Fill each wafer with whipped cream, top with a pear half.Garnish with a half cherry.Refrigerate.

Preparation

Peel pears, cut in half and core. In a pan, put water, sugar, lemon half and vanilla, bring to a boil.

Poach in boiling syrup 5 minutes.

Cool on paper towels.

Whip cream to peaks.

Fold in icing sugar.

Fill each wafer with whipped cream, top with a pear half.

Garnish with a half cherry.

Refrigerate.
