Preheat barbecue to medium. In a bowl, mix veal, egg, pine nuts, ginger, balsamic vinegar, parsley, salt and pepper together. Make 4 large balls. Flatten into patties. Place patties on the grill and cook until inside shows no pink. Meanwhile, toast buns on the grill. One minute before end of cooking time, place a slice of havarti on each patty. Slip patties into buns and garnish to taste (lettuce, mayonnaise, mustard).
