Place cereal in a plastic bag; crunch with the palm of hand.
In a mixing bowl, fold in cereal, coconut, candied cherries, and sugar; mix well.
In a cup, beat together eggs, melted butter and almond extract with a fork.
Poor egg preparation over cereal; mix well.
Line a 8-inch (20 cm) square baking dish with plastic wrap; lightly oil plastic liner.
Spread preparation in prepared baking dish; press firmly.
Bake in a 350°F / 180°C oven for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Let cool; remove and cut into triangles.
