Peel citrus fruit (except kumquats) with a sharp knife, removing white pith as well as peel.
Slice kumquats and citrus fruit 1/4 in. (1/2 cm) thick.
On a sheet of foil sprinkled with sugar, arrange sliced kumquats in a layer, top with blood orange. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over top, then add the pomelo and finish with the mandarins.
Fold and seal edges of foil and cook 12 - 15 minutes in a medium-hot BBQ over indirect heat.
