In a bowl, soak the tomatoes in boiling water for 6 to 8 minutes, until tender. Drain, dry and chop the tomatoes finely. Add the other ingredients to the tomatoes and mix well. Season to taste. Spread the tomato mixture on the bread, cover with lettuce leaves and close the sandwich. Serve with assorted raw vegetables (carrots, celery, red and green pepper, etc.)
