In a pan, mix figs, apricots, apples, rum and orange juice. Cover and bring to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes; remove from heat and let stand 20 minutes or until fruit is plump and soft. Cool. In a serving bowl, mix fruit, grapes and mandarins. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate no more than 3 days.
