Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. In a bowl, cream margarine and molasses. Mix in eggs one at a time; set aside. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Stir into creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Lightly grease a 5 x 9-in. (23 x 13-cm) pan with margarine. Pour batter into pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean, about 45 min.
