Cut the top off the figs, to make caps. Scoop out the inside of the figs with a melon baller or grapefruit spoon, and combine with mascarpone, honey and vanilla.
Stuff figs with mascarpone mixture, top with caps and bundle in foil. Cook 8 - 10 minutes on the BBQ over medium indirect heat.
