Remove smoked pork shoulder from packaging and rinse under cold water.Place in a slow cooker, and add the other ingredients.Add salt and pepper (generous amounts), and stir.Cover with cold water to 5 cm (2 in.) from the cooker rim.Cook on low temperature 9 to 10 hours or until ham is tender and shreds easily with a fork. Stir ingredients halfway through cooking.Serve with sautéed green beans and baked potatoes.
