Brush both cut sides of the submarine rolls with oil.
Brown in a preheated oven.
Put onion and sweet red pepper in a microwave dish and cook at high 1 minute. Set aside.
Brush the bottom of the rolls with half the tomato sauce. Cover with reserved onion and pepper, ham and cheese.
Cook in a preheated oven until cheese melts.
Brush the tops of the rolls with the rest of the tomato sauce; put together and serve
