In a large frying pan, cook beef over medium heat until no pink remains, then drain. Sprinkle seasoning mix over beef. Add 3/4 cup (175 mL) water to pan and stir well. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool.
Just before serving time, toss together lettuce, green pepper and green onions. Divide equally among individual salad bowls.
Top with rows of cooked meat mixture, cheese, tomatoes and cucumber. Serve with Ranch-style dressing.
For a change of taste, try diced Canadian Brick, Havarti or Colby.
