Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In a big bowl, crush tofu but do not reduce to a purée. Set aside. In a skillet, melt butter. Cook onion and pepper until onion is soft. Add onion mixture to tofu. Add other ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Make 4 thin patties. Place patties on a baking sheet and cook 25 minutes. Turn patties carefully with a spatula and cook another 25 minutes. Serve patties in split buns and dress to taste (mustard, lettuce, tomato).
