In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. In another bowl, mix well the vegetable fat, egg, yoghurt, maple sugar and grated apple. Fold into the dry ingredients. Set aside. In a small pan, pour maple syrup and water. Bring to a boil. When the syrup boils, add dough balls. Lower heat to medium, cover and simmer gently 3 minutes. Turn dumplings, cover and cook 3 minutes more.

Preparation
