In a large bowl, stir together rice, poppy seeds, flour, cheese and sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir with a fork until fairly smooth.In a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat, heat a little butter and oil. A tablespoon (15 mL) at a time, drop mixture into frying pan, keeping them well spaced. Flatten slightly with a spatula.Cook for a few minutes on each side until crunchy. Remove and place on paper towels. Repeat until all the mixture is cooked.Sprinkle with poppy seeds and serve immediately with fruit.
