Blanch the sausages for 10 minutes. Prick with a fork. Set aside.
In a skillet, heat the oil and sauté the onions and garlic. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes. Check seasoning.
Preheat the barbecue or frying pan to medium heat.
Grill the sausages for 6 minutes.
Brush the sausages with tomato sauce.
