Maple Pear Sauce
In a pan, melt butter and cook pear slices over medium heat 5 minutes.
Add maple syrup and cook another 5 minutes. Add cream and simmer a few minutes. Keep warm.
In a bowl, beat eggs and milk. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
In a large frying pan, heat half the butter over medium-high heat.
Dip bread, one slice at a time, in the egg mixture; brown 3 or 4 slices of bread at a time about 2 minutes on each side. Keep warm. Repeat for the remaining bread and butter.
Cover with pear and maple sauce. Garnish with cheese.
