Preheat barbecue to medium heat.
Using wooden skewers prepare 4 brochettes of scallops and 4 of shrimp. Place in glass dish and set aside.
In a saucepan, bring ginger sauce ingredients to a boil and remove from heat.
Place brochettes on an oiled sheet of aluminum foil and baste with sauce.
Cook on grill for 2 to 3 minutes, turning frequently. Baste during cooking.
