Preheat the barbecue to medium heat or preheat a frying pan. Mix the first four ingredients together in a bowl. Put steaks on barbecue or a frying pan. Cook 2-4 minutes, turn and baste generously with pesto. Cook 2-4 minutes more depending on desired degree of doneness. Top cooked steaks with shaved parmesan.
