Melt butter in a saucepan and cook garlic and onion until tender. Add mushrooms and sauté at medium heat. Add flour and cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Add wine and broth, stirring until the sauce is thick. Add tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce and let simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. (If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little water.)
