Preheat the barbecue to medium heat. Brown garlic for several seconds in a butter/oil mixture. Add remaining sauce ingredients, bring to a boil and remove immediately from heat. Set half of sauce aside. Place chicken strips on a sheet of oiled aluminium foil. Baste chicken strips with remaining sauce and barbecue 8 to 10 minutes, turning frequently. Top strips with reserved sauce and serve.
