Rinse peas and soak overnight. Drain and set aside.
In a pot, heat butter and cook onion, garlic and leeks. Add carrots and celery and cook another 2 min.
Add peas, chicken broth, salt pork, bay leaves and savory.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer covered for about 75 min.
Remove bay leaves and add parsley.
Stir and adjust seasoning.
