Beef, turkey, chicken and pork roasts

Your Metro deli counter also carries a variety of cooked, plain or smoked, ready-to-slice roasts including pork, beef, chicken and plain or smoked turkey.

Some of these are pre-sliced and vacuum-packed and available in the self-serve deli counter.


These roasts are very practical because they offer a whole range of cooked meats without having to cook them yourself!

Put together a few slices of roasted pork, a few slices of smoked turkey, a little roast beef and voilà! A great ready-to-serve cold cut platter!

Culinary tips and advice

Try the great classics:

Roast beef vol-au-vent with an explosion of mushrooms

1Preheat oven to 160º C (325º F) and warm the vol-au-vent pastries

2In a frying pan, melt a little butter and sauté a variety of thinly-sliced mushroom. Set aside.

3In another frying pan, heat olive oil and sauté thinly-sliced onions and peppers.

4Add a little HP sauce, mustard and red wine. Reduce.

5Add salt and pepper.

6Add mushrooms and the thinly-sliced roast beef, cook until warm.

7Pour the mixture over the hot vol-au-vent pastry shells.

Polenta with smoked turkey and pesto

  • In a little olive oil, pan-fry slices of firm polenta.
  • Coat each slice with pesto.
  • Garnish with smoked turkey and paprika or tomato and basil.
  • Top with a cherry tomato.
